MCA Getting a New Restaurant; Many Einstein Bagels Closing; More

STREETERVILLE— The Museum of Contemporary Art is getting a new restaurant but officials haven't revealed any details on their plans for it. It's part of $60 million in changes to the MCA. Works should be complete by May 2016. [Tribune]

AROUND TOWN— The Einstein Bros. Bagels at 3420 N. Southport Ave. and another at 5318 N. Clark St. are casualties of a 39-store company-wide closure of "underperforming" locations. Closing day is Tuesday, and parent company Einstein Noah Restaurant Group didn't provide of list of store closures. A suburban location in Glencoe will also bite the dust. UPTOWN— Bar on Buena will launch weekend brunch service starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Chef Cleetus Friedman's menu includes a burger with bacon and fried egg, breakfast burrito and the bi bim BOB (Bar on Buena) — the bar's take on the Korean dish with jalapeño rice, black bean and fried egg. AROUND TOWN— GrubHub's Edison Park customers tip the most generously in Chicago, according to data from the online delivery portal. At an average of 14.6 percent, Edison Park customers left delivery tip more than the 14 percent national average. The average Chicagoan tips less than the rest of the country with a 13.6 percent average. The data is from December 2013 to March 2014.  [EaterWire]
