For her next project, Stephanie Izard is doing Chinese. Announced this morning, fittingly on Chinese New Year, the celebrity chef and Girl & the Goat owner is planning to open Duck Duck Goat, "a take on Chinese cuisine" at 857 W. Fulton Market, this summer. Boka Restaurant Group partners Kevin Boehm and Rob Katz, who confirmed a new Izard restaurant during the Jean Banchet Awards gala on January 30, will once again partner with Izard on this concept.

In a release, Izard says that her love of Chinese food cultivated while growing up in Connecticut, combined with a Chinese-influenced Sunday supper at Little Goat in 2013 and a recent trip to China, convinced her to open a Chinese restaurant. The location is roughly two blocks from her two existing restaurants, and Katz reiterates in a statement that the group is "committed to the area."

The specifics on the concept are still under wraps, but a placeholder website is up and features a video announcement. Watch that below, and watch out for many more details soon.
