Hot Ravenswood brewpub Band of Bohemia is the latest establishment to latch onto Alinea partner Nick Kokonas' ticketing platform Tock. The "culinary brewhouse," opened by two Alinea vets in November, put its first tickets for sale on its new Tock website this morning, which has a variety of seating options available in the main dining room starting at $15 per person. Regular reservations top out at $150 for a seat at the chef's counter, and tickets are also available for the brewpub's weekly themed "anti-brunch" Sunday events (launching Dec. 27) as well as New Year's Eve. Walk-in seats are still available too.
Chicago restaurants and bars are flocking towards the ticketing system with increasing frequency in recent weeks. Paul McGee's "micro" Milk Bar in the Chicago Athletic Association hotel has been using Tock to fill six of its eight seats nightly, the Spencer's Jolly Posh reconcept Vivial uses Tock, and Lettuce Entertain You uses the ticketing system for their rotating chef restaurant Intro. How many more will turn to tickets rather than traditional reservations?
