The menu (see below) features a special Liege waffle, which owner Brendan Bolger describes as "a richer, denser, sweeter waffle native to the Wallonia region of Eastern Belgium." A station includes a toppings bar so customers can customize their treats. There's also a rotating selection of those dense, cheesecase-like cupcakes and cinnamon rolls to give guests their sugary fix.

There's tables with about 30 seats inside for diners to indulge on the spot. But folks can also grab a baked good and coffee and run. Face it, Wicker Park just got sweeter.

Chicago Cupcake, 1415 N. Milwaukee Ave., (312) 300-4797, open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday; 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Closed on Monday for now.
