Carriage House wasn't the only place that closed over the weekend on Division Street to re-concept in Wicker Park. Barley & Brass has shuttered, closing after a little under a year of operations. But it's not goodbye. Barley & Brass' owners, Mac and Joe Boumaroun, plan opening a second Chicago location of their 25 Degrees burger bar concept inside the same space.
Barley & Brass will be closing our doors today, November 1, 2015. We want to thank everyone for your patronage and support over the past year.

The new 25 Degrees is set to open in early December, a spokeswoman confirmed. The owners love the neighborhood, but didn't think the Barley & Brass concept fit Wicker Park, so they opted to swap for 25 Degrees. Wicker Park will now get what River North is accustomed to: Customized burgers and boozy milkshakes. This would be the chain's fifth spot, as they've got locations in Los Angeles, Huntington Beach, Calif. and overseas in Bangkok.
