Bow Truss Coffee Roasters has emerged as the favorite to take over the Chicago Park District space in the infamous Viagra Triangle in Gold Coast, as the park district will take a vote Wednesday on a proposed lease. The spot, formally known as Mariano Park, is currently occupied by Whispers Cafe. Gibsons and Shake Shack were other restaurants interested in the kiosk-like area with outdoor seating at State and Rush streets. [DNAinfo]

Dove's Luncheonette, One Off Hospitality's sibling on Damen Avenue to neighboring Big Star, has begun a grab and go weekday breakfast program starting at 9 a.m. daily. They'll serve two variations of burros (imagine a burrito) — one stuffed with carnitas, tomato-serrano salsa and diced white onions ($6); another with button mushrooms, chipotle salsa Chihuahua cheese and epazote ($5). They'll serve Dark Matter coffee ($1) where customers will pay using the honor system.

Old Crow Smokehouse quietly opened last week inside the old John Barleycorn space in River North at 149 W. Kinzie St. It was an emotional decision by ownership, as they switched it up to barbecue after realizing that Barleycorn wasn't as hip as in years past.

Acadia, fresh off basking in the glory of Michelin upgrading them from one to two stars, has launched two new tasting menus. There's chef Ryan McClaskey's five-course edition highlighted by sunchoke veloute, pheasant agnolotti and Stonington lobster. Then there's a 10-course menu with puffed chicken skin, Mediterranean bass and bone marrow.

Spritz Burger and Tutto Fresco Trattoria are searching for new homes, as their building will be razed to make room for a new $10 million mixed-used development this summer on the 3800 block of North Broadway Street. Both restaurants want to stay in Lakeview, but haven't found that right spot yet. [DNAinfo]
