Chipotle's made it official, announcing opening dates for the company's ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen concept in Chicago and Schaumburg. Suburban Schaumburg will open in November, followed by the Loop location opening in December. So far, ShopHouse operates 11 spots, confined to California, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

The Schaumburg spot location sits at 1022 N. Meacham Road, which is across the street and west of Woodfield Mall. The Chicago spot, 24 E. Jackson Blvd., is near the DePaul Center at Jackson and State streets. They'll serve Half Acre Daisy Cutter beer on tap to give the spots a bit of a local flair. They won't need security guards here, opening from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

ShopHouse debuted in 2011 in D.C. and offers the similar counter service as Chipotle but instead emulates Southeast Asian flavors. Chicago's been an important market for Chipotle, which last month offered samples of their chorizo tacos at Chicago Gourmet, as their chorizo's only currently found at their Kansas City-area restaurants.
