ShopHouse SouthEast Asian Kitchen, Chipotle's rice and noodle bowl spinoff that debuted in the Washington, D.C. area, will open on Nov. 13 in suburban Schaumburg. The chain will then arrive in Chicago with a Dec. 8 opening in The Loop.
Diners familiar with Chipotle's assembly line will feel right at home at ShopHouse which features a menu that's free of gluten, wheat and dairy. And like Chipotle, there's no GMOs at ShopHouse — for better or worse. Items cost under $10. They'll attempt to give the Chicago-area spots local flavor with Halt Acre's Daisy Cutter beer on tap.
There's 11 ShopHouses in near D.C. and Los Angeles. Both locations, at 1022 N. Meacham Road in Schaumburg and in The Loop at 24 E. Jackson Blvd. will stay open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
