Sure, Maple & Ash isn't 100-percent fired up, but when guests walk into the lavish Gold Coast spot, they'll find two levels of decadence. The late-night basement bar may not be ready for prime time, but the rest of the pricey steakhouse is ready for a clientele who want something shinier than Morton's and Gibsons down the street.
The first-floor bar kicks it old school. This is where to drink a martini and catch up with friends sitting in blue leather booths near a bar that's sure to lure a few Viagara Triangle passers-by. You'll find a second bar up the elevator that's more sleek and comes with a different cocktail menu. This is where to be seen, and there's plenty of seating near the windows that overlook Mariano Park to be noticed. A light fixture dangles from the center atrium that looks like two diamond necklaces overlapping. There's also a lounge with plush chairs that feel like corduroy where guests can drink their dinner instead of indulging in dry-aged beef.
