Mercadito Already Planning Something Different For Tippling Hall Space

Though financial woes doomed Tippling Hall and led to its closure earlier in the month, Mercadito Hospitality is planning a new concept in the same River North space. A spokeswoman confirmed they'll reconcept but says she doesn't have any further information. One possible working name is "Merc Kitchen"; at least that's the name dropped by the Tippling Hall Facebook page before it was subsequently locked down on Tuesday.

The group still operates three Chicago restaurants: Mercadito, Mercadito Counter and Mercadito Kitchen. Stay tuned.
