Restaurants continue to celebrate their grand openings at the New City development at Halsted and Clybourn. The oft-delayed mixed-use project on the former New City YMCA site has already seen spicy chicken specialists Nando's Peri-Peri open its third Chicago spot, while Yard House has opened its first craft-beer-centric Chicago location. What awaits hungry visitors? Here's the latest.

Adobe Gilas: Certified open

The chain already has a Rosemont location and the New City spot opened last week. Feast on Mexican-American favorites and catch some sports ball inside.

The fourth iteration of LYFE Kitchen opens up on Friday. Half of all sales on Saturday will be donated to the Club. Expect the same fast-casual concept that skews healthy.

Earls Kitchen + BarOpening Oct. 24

Canada's popular chain is set to open its sixth location in the U.S. on Oct. 24. They've got 62 locations, and debuted in 1982. The restaurant hasn't posted the menu for its New City location, but they claim each spot has a couple twists for a unique menu. It's a menu that includes Indian and Chinese influences, but for those who don't dig on global tastes, there's a comfy Santa Fe chicken salad.

Kings Bowl USA: Opening Nov. 2

Chicago's getting another "unique" bowling spot on Nov. 2. Inside, they'll feature a 36-seat pizza lounge with thin-crust, coal-fired pies from Max & Leo's which is based in the Boston suburbs. The 15-inch pizzas range from $15 to $18. There's also wings and nachos, and take out's available. The lounge is open to all ages.

Good Stuff Eatery: Opening this fall

There's still no official opening date for "Top Chef" alum Spike Mendelsohn's burger spot. It's Chicago's second location.
