Mere days after closing L20, Lettuce Entertain You is moving fast to turn the former Michelin-starred restaurant into Intro. Hiring is already underway, tickets are on sale, and Rich Melman's revolving chef concept will open in less than a month, on February 4.
Using the system pioneered at Next and Alinea, the Intro website now has tickets for sale for February 4 through April. While cuisine and dishes are still in development, first chef CJ Jacobson's five-course menu costs between $65-85 on Tuesdays through Thursdays depending on the time slot, $75-95 on Fridays and Saturdays, and diners can purchase drinks with tickets or at the table. "Walk-in guests will be accommodated if availability permits," according to the site. Intro will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
The remodeling of the former L20 will be quick. It's possible that the new interior design will be somewhat of a blank slate for the chefs in residence, aside from the addition of two lounges, but LEYE will only reveal that "Rich has a very clear vision of what he wants the space to be, and we are making progress." Regardless, you'll be able to see it yourself in less than a month.
