So much for a lull before Super Bowl Sunday, as the owners of Logan Square's Owen and Engine made a stealthy announcement Saturday night.

The crew at the English pub are trying their hands at something new with a brewery on that mega-popular stretch of Milwaukee Avenue. It's called Bixi Brewery, and will be at 2515 N. Milwaukee Ave., right next to late-night hot spot The Owl. Owen and Engine, known for its English cuisine — and one of the best burgers in the city — made the announcement Saturday night via Facebook:

An email to Owen and Engine's Bo Fowler wasn't immediately returned Saturday night. A job listing for the head brewer's position at the new restaurant revealed a few more details about the restaurant. The launch date will be by the end of 2015, and they'll have a Southeast- and East Asian-inspired menu:

Our goal is to provide great tasting, well made craft beer with a focus on ales with unique infusions, sometimes working with local tea merchants for sourcing. We aim to cover a gamut of style while always keeping an eye towards pairing with and inspiration with cuisine.

Check back later for further details when Fowler gets a chance to reply.
