The opening menu for Intro has finally been released, only five days before the restaurant opens.
Lettuce Entertain You's much-ballyhooed rotating-chef venture debuts on Wednesday inside the former L20 space. There are seven total available reservations left for opening night available online, as of Friday at noon.
Intro's the first restaurant to use Nick Kokonos' Tock online-reservation system. The tasting menu costs $65 to $95 per person, depending on the time. That means several folks made plans without knowing with will be served. Perhaps that's a testament to Rich Melman's Beard Award-winning reputation.
Without further adieu, check out the menu from first chef CJ Jacobson. It's subject to change:
Menu highlights? It's unclear if "Take a Stroll in the Kitchen" is literal. But Jacobson was true to his word in using root veggies, including a rutabaga ramen with oxtail tea. Jacobson, a California native, said he'd cultivate relationships with local formers.
Meanwhile, Jacobson's been in traveling back and forth to Los Angeles, something he'll do while Intro's open. Back on Twitter, he's seen exchanging Tweets with Brett Gurewitz, founding member of venerable SoCal punk band Bad Religion. The two appeared on a 2013 episode of Esquire Network's Knife Fight.
