Soon, 5411 Empanadas transformation from fledgling food truck to a five-restaurant chain will be complete.
Management announced the addition of three new locations, as reported by DNAinfo. One is slated to open next month at 1659 W. Division St. inside the Holiday Jones hostel, giving the empanada makers a second Wicker Park site. They'll serve breakfast, lunch and dinner there.
The Loop gets their chance at baked empanada goodness early this summer when 5411 opens a restaurant at 175 N. Franklin St. Near the same time they have designs on a Southport Corridor spot at 3715 N. Southport Ave.
Their original location near the Lakeview and Lincoln Park borders at 2850 N. Clark St. was a base for their food truck operations. It opened in 2012. They opened their second location in July at 2045 W. North Ave.
