Work on Alpana Singh's Seven Lions looks to be nearly finished across the street from the Art Institute on South Michigan Avenue.
There's no opening date yet, but it appears the restaurant is almost ready to go as crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling at 130 S. Michigan Ave. with the backs of plush booths pushed against bay windows showcasing the view of the iconic art museum.

Monday through Friday, they'll open at 11 a.m., lettering on the main door's windows read. They'll open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. There's no formal closing time provided.

As previously reported, Chris Curren will lead the kitchen that is almost ready to churn out updated classic American dishes in the near-500-seat restaurant on Michigan Avenue.
The restaurant is awaiting final inspections. A repair permit dated Thursday to change the HVAC contractor is among the final hurdles. Stay tuned.
