Lulu's Rising Again in Evanston; Furious Spoon Nearly Ready; More Plywood Updates

EVANSTON—Popular Asian restaurant Lulu's is returning north of the border to 1026 Davis Street. Piggybacking the location with a new Taco Diablo, the third Lulu's incarnation will include an outdoor roofdeck and is hoping to open in fall 2015 following building demolition. WICKER PARK—The paper is off the windows of Furious Spoon, and Shin Thompson and the Takito team's ramen spot looks nearly complete. A classic wood ramen bar and matching tables are visible in the built-out space in the heart of Wicker Park. It's slated to open in February. [EaterWire]

LOGAN SQUARE—Signage is up at Q-Tine, with a blue-and-white-striped awning and circular sign decorating the poutine and barbecue restaurant's storefront on that hot block of Milwaukee Avenue. It could open within a couple of weeks. [EaterWire]

PILSEN—Magik St. Tavern may have some funding issues, as ownership launched a Kickstarter campaign on Monday. The bar, event space and Mexican eatery is slated to open in March. [EaterWire]

WICKER PARK—Chicago's second Pasta Bowl is heading to 1852 W. North, as coming soon signage now adorns the former home of Manee Thai. A March opening is a possibility. [EaterWire]

WICKER PARK—Punch Bowl Social owner Robert Thompson presented to a Wicker Park neighborhood group yesterday, where he revealed renderings and a few more nuggets. He's still hoping to open the four-floor gaming spot, eatery and drinkery by the end of the year. [DNAinfo]
