RIVER NORTH—The Drifter, the tiny subterranean cocktail lounge in the historic former speakeasy attached to Green Door Tavern, softly opened last week. The "eclectic and eccentric" entertainment has not begun yet. Take a look around right here. [EaterWire]

LINCOLN PARK—Inspiring blind chef and Charlie Trotter's vet Laura Martinez opened her first restaurant, La Diosa, on Friday at 2308 N. Clark. The full menu is unavailable but expect Mexican and French styles in the dishes. [EaterWire]

SOUTH LOOP—Owner John McLean opened Chicago's second Burger Bar today in the Sloop at 1150 S. Michigan. The menu, which you can read below, is similar to the original near North and Clybourn and although it's BYO for the first week or so, expect 80 craft beers with 30 on draft soon. Also expect him to open a Mediterranean small plate and wine bar as well as a coffee shop in July in the AMLI building at 800 S. Clark. [EaterWire/Chicago Mag]

ENGLEWOOD—A South Side food desert has a new spot for scratch-made American and Caribbean food in Dream Cafe, which opened yesterday at 748 W. 61st St. Dishes include collard green-stuffed egg rolls, three types of chicken sandwiches, and "slightly non-traditional mac and cheese." [DNAinfo]
