Can You Smell It Yet? Baconfest Reveals 2015 Lineup

Festival boasts extra sizzle with largest lineup ever.

Ashok Selvam is the editor of Eater Chicago and a native Chicagoan armed with more than two decades of award-winning journalism. Now covering the world of restaurants and food, his nut graphs are super nutty.

Postpone that visit to the cardiologist, as the seventh edition of Baconfest boasts the largest lineup ever with 168 restaurants. The fest features eight more vendors compared to 2014, including 40 new restaurants. Places like Tanta, which only opened in 2013, and Velvet Taco, which has yet to open in Chicago, are new. The veterans and fest favorites of the circuit include the Trencherman and the Radler.

Baconfest will take place April 17 and April 18 at the UIC Forum. VIP tickets ($200) are already on sale, and GA session admissions ($100) will be available at noon on Feb. 16 over here.
