Check out Bascule's Menu As the Wine Bar Opens on Saturday

Bascule is opening tomorrow in the former Urban Union space.

The long-awaited wine bar, 1421 W. Taylor St., will be BYO at first, but it will still have chef Michael Burkauska's full opening food menu, which you can take a look below. It's the new project from Jason Prah and Scott Harney. Online reservations via OpenTable are available here. Zagat mentioned the open kitchen and the wood-burning oven.

We've noted the irony of a wine bar opening as a BYO (even while waiting for its license), and have reached out to Prah for some insight on the decision-making process. Check back for updates, but for now, check out the menu:
