Remember when SmallBar Division took their craft beer kegs and shuttered, annoyed with what the neighborhood had become? Well, a new tenant is already lined up to take over the space and open a bar in the spring.

Heisler Hospitality has taken over the 117-year-old building at 2049 W. Division St., just west of Damen Avenue, reports DNAinfo. Heisler's holdings include Bar DeVille, Nightwood, Trenchermen, Lone Wolf, The Revel Room and Sportsman's Club. The owner of Glascott's Saloon in Lincoln Park, Kyle Glascott, and an investor bought the building in November.

What will happen to the former SmallBar space isn't clear, but Heisler's Matt Eisler tells DNAinfo he wants to make use of the former tenant's spiffy draught system. Meanwhile, another Eisler projectQueen Mary, a block away at 2125 W. Division St., is still going, but will probably open after the SmallBar replacement.

SmallBar Division closed in November, in part because they believed the area didn't appreciate craft beer and the quality of food. A non-affiliated bar by the same name in Logan Square remains open.

We've reached out to Heisler for more details. Stay tuned for updates.
