The owner behind the Michelin Bib Gourmand-winning Kabul House in Skokie have a new suburban restaurant opening soon.

The Boiler Shrimp & Crawfish restaurant at 3445 Dempster St. in Skokie will dish out Cajun cuisine made with seafood flown in daily from Louisiana, wrote co-owner Akmal Qazi. There's no opening date yet inside the shuttered Basha space.

"Our concept is very cool in which people eat on parchament on the table and have amazing shrimps, crawfish, lobsters and crabs in a bag served by the pound," Qazi also wrote.

Though left off the 2015 list, Qazi's Kabul House earned three-straight Michelin Bib Gourmand awards from 2012 to 2014. That's a tribute to its Afghani cuisine served with a contemporary twist and diverse customer base, writes Qazi.
