Can a pizza break a curse?
Well, if you believe in that sort of stuff, Chicago deep-dish chain Giordano's has your prescription. This weekend customers can order a special Cubs pizza decorated with the team's logo in parmesan cheese. It's like a silly child's birthday cake, but without the hope.
Pizza makers will use a custom-made stencil to create "The Cubbies Pizza" on any medium or large stuffed pizza for all dine in, carry out or delivery orders. The promotion lasts from Friday through Sunday at the Giordano's at Prudential Plaza. There's no word if Giordano's will begin to serve ground goat as a topping. Because goats.
Giordano's is the official pizza of the Cubs, and no stranger to sports. In 2012 the Bulls' Derrick Rose invested in Giordano's as the company's spokesman. This is tame compared to another baseball and food promotion a few years back—Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse used parts of an infamous baseball in a pasta sauce in 2005.
