The Charlie Trotter's Culinary Education Foundation, originally founded in 1999 by the now-deceased iconic chef and restaurateur, set details for its inaugural annual fundraising benefit. Taking place on the first anniversary of Trotter's death on Nov. 5, "A Toast to Charlie Trotter" features a star-studded culinary lineup to support the charitable foundation.

Famous TV chef Emeril Lagasse will serve as master of ceremonies with Mayor Emanuel as co-chair at Venue One on Randolph Street. Local chefs include Rick Bayless, Graham Elliot, Mindy Segal, Matthias Merges and Art Smith; while visiting chefs David Bouley, Patrick O'Connell and Lagasse will also be on hand.

Tickets will be available beginning tonight at midnight on the foundation's website, will cost $250 ($400 VIP) until October 1 and will jump $100 thereafter. Money raised will go towards the foundation, which aims "to give underserved youth an opportunity to advance through a career in the culinary arts."
