SushiSamba Closed For 'Renovation,' Reopening Unknown

The fate of SushiSamba Rio on Wells is murky. The Chicago location of the Japanese/Brazilian/Peruvian restaurant chain is closed and a note on its website says that it is "currently undergoing renovation and will be closed until further notice."

When (if) it will reopen and what the renovations will bring are a mystery, as a Samba Brands spokesman only says "we have no more information at this time." The Chicago location's Facebook page has been wiped clean and business there had been noticeably slow. Stay tuned.
