Frontera Grill was one of 12 restaurants that took part in a new Groupon program that bundles a reservation with a food deal, the Tribune reports. The reservation deals, which can be made on Groupon's mobile app or website, are good only on the time and date purchased.
By cutting down on cancellations and guaranteeing customers, Frontera reportedly saw enough of an increase in revenue that a new deal is launching today offering a $69 dinner-for-two at the restaurant. The reservation format will also begin rolling out to other restaurants today. Groupon is planning on introducing the new format to businesses other than restaurants before the end of the year as well.
