With Four Days Left of Hot Doug's, People Get in Line at 1:30 a.m. and Advertise Spots on CraigsList

You'd better line up before daybreak, as Hot Doug's curbed the spot-selling game.

How insane is the line at Hot Doug's now that the sausage superstore has just four days left in business? Spots in line are for sale on Craigslist, people are getting in line as early as 1:30 a.m., and Doug Sohn is cutting off the line hours before the restaurant even opens.

Three Craigslist posts attempted to sell spots in line, with two specifically asking for $200, one for a place that was 45 minutes from the front at the time of posting. The Hot Doug's Twitter feed even stepped in to curb this spot-selling hustle.

Meanwhile, folks are getting in line as early as nine hours before Hot Doug's even opens—because you have to get there more than three hours before it opens in order to get in at all. Fans are also making impromptu middle-of-the-night road trips from as far as Toronto and Washington, some just hopping in their cars following the recent rash of flight cancellations.

And don't forget that a couple had time to plan a wedding and get married in the line. How much crazier can this situation get by Friday? At this point, the possibilities seem endless.
