Before he opened his first Bake 425 store in Highland Park last month, owner Bill Borneman took over several locations in the Chicago area that formerly housed the shuttered chain Homemade Pizza Co. (all of which closed in May). Borneman has plans to open eight of his take-and-bake stores in those locations, according to Crain's.

After hiring back a number of former Homemade employees, Borneman is aiming to open three stores in October (Winnetka, Evanston on Central Street, Lake Forest), two in November (Glencoe, Evanston on Chicago Avenue), and on Southport Avenue in Chicago in December. Locations in Hinsdale and Glenview will open by spring of 2015.

The remaining 22 Homemade locations will be liquidated, according to Borneman.
