Last Saturday, September 20th, Goose Island Beer Company hosted their third annual 312 Urban Block Party. The party took place outside of their Fulton Street brewery in Chicago. Guests enjoyed previews of the 2014 Bourbon County Stout (being released this November,) as well as beers from their local Fulton & Wood series, and limited release collaborations with the Pitchfork.com team and vocal artist Sharon Van Etten.
Besides being privy to specialty brews, attendees were also treated to two different music stages - one featured national acts The Breeders, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Cayucas. The local stage highlighted artists Twin Peaks, Secret Colours, and Heavy Times. Whilst sipping and dancing, folks also had the opportunity to grab a bite from over six food trucks or a Slagel farm pig roasted by the Goose Island Pub. The party also served as a debut of the breweries new refurbished 1963 Chicago city bus - which will be used at education and activation events throughout Chicago.
