Cafe Con Leche Owner Building Restaurant, Bar and Liquor Store in Logan

Here's another major hospitality project happening in Logan Square. Cafe Con Leche and D'Noche owner Esam Hani has multiple projects in the works on Milwaukee Avenue following the opening of his latest spot, The Harding Tavern, in April.

Hani has acquired 3500-square-feet of real estate across the street from Cafe Con Leche—roughly equating half of the 2700 block of N. Milwaukee—and is planning a restaurant/bar as well as a massive liquor store. Construction is underway now.

Located in the former Mr. G's Beef on the corner (2715 N. Milwaukee), Hani says he's still deciding the specific concept for the restaurant. He's more than doubling the size of the former Red Star Liquors just north to include a wider selection of craft beer and more.

Hani declines to give a timeframe for finishing both, citing the lengthy delay he experienced with The Harding Tavern. Stay tuned for the latest on the project and the ballooning scene in Logan Square.
