Bar Crawl Trouble

Santa-Wentworth-pub_crawl.jpgThe Chicago Christmas Crawl, a competitor to the maligned TBOX (Twelve Bars of Xmas), which had planned to hit West Division Street in Wicker Park on December 13, will either not happen at all or be tamed according to 1st Ward Alderman Proco "Joe" Moreno, RedEye reports. The alderman has heard from bar owners, police and citizens who have expressed concern about the crawl, leading him to investigate either changing the event or canceling it entirely. The event only has one participating bar (Folklore) listed on their website, so perhaps the alderman is doing the organizers a favor. [RedEye / Chicagoist]
