Burger Bar Expansion Reportedly Headed to South Loop

It looks like Chicago's burger renaissance is showing no signs of slowing down. In addition to Umami Burger's grand opening today, there are reports that popular Lincoln Park eatery Burger Bar will also soon be expanding.

According to Sloopin, construction is underway at The Columbian in the South Loop and the restaurant could be headed for a fall opening. The current menu offers dozens of beef and alternative burgers, a variety of mac and cheeses and special milkshakes. There's been no official announcement yet but if the rumors are indeed true, then it would be a welcome addition to a neighborhood that could always use more dining options.
