Add another Untitled veteran to the group behind the forthcoming Oak + Char. Chef Joseph Heppe, the (former) executive chef at the large River North restaurant/bar/lounge/event venue, will run the kitchen at the new restaurant in the Graham Elliot space.
The Oak + Char team is keeping much of the food program under wraps for now, aside from the "real Midwestern food" concept and the use of an oak-aged wood-burning flame for dinner and lunch dishes. Heppe worked at Mercat a la Planxa and Vermillion before creating and executing the menus at Untitled.
