Inside and the Menus for the Massive Parlor Pizza Bar, Opening Friday

Parlor Pizza Bar, which was originally reported in 2012 and was supposed to open in spring 2013 with a brewery component, is finally opening its doors on Friday without the brewery. Occupying a large piece of property on Green Street that used to be home to an auto repair shop, on the same block as Green Street Smoked Meats and High Five Ramen, the new pizzeria and bar is the brainchild of LGN Group's Michael Bisbee and Tim Hendricks (Stout Barrel House).

Featuring 19 custom made pizzas cooked in wood-fired ovens imported from Italy, along with a number of other menu items coming out of a separate kitchen, Parlor Pizza Bar will be open for lunch, dinner and late night. They will also serve up weekend brunch.

The pizzas feature unique ingredients, including lobster (on the "Claw & Order"), herb-fried chicken (Brian De Parma), as well as spiced pineapple and coconut cheese (Hawaii Pie-O).

Starters and sandwiches get the Parlor spin, with a B.P.L.T. (featuring beef bacon and pork bacon), craziest bread (house beer bread with scallion cream, garlic, shallot, mozzarella, parmesan and pepperoni), and a grilled peach caprese salad.

As evidenced in the photos there's a lot of patio seating in addition to what's inside and on the rooftop. The interior features a number of six-top tables, a large bar in the center to watch the game, and a dine-at pizza bar that seats up to 10. There are also a number of leather banquettes to relax on while you go to town on some pizza.

On the drinking front, it holds 14 rotating taps for mostly craft brews. 12 cocktails, some of which will be available in souvenir cups, pitchers or punch bowls round out the regular booze service. But brunch service will bring forth a Bloody Mary bar featuring garnishes like smoked gouda, beef jerky and brown sugar candied bacon.
