Jimmy Bannos Jr. Wants to Open an Italian Restaurant

Jimmy Bannos Jr., fresh off his James Beard Award earlier this year, is already thinking about his next project. And The Purple Pig chef/partner wants to be the latest Chicago restaurateur to go Italian.

Bannos tells CBS This Morning in a video extra that he "would love to open another project with my dad, Tony (Mantuano) and the partners" and that "it would be an Italian restaurant." Bannos isn't ready to do it now, inserting the caveat "when that time comes," but it's something to keep in mind.
