EVERYWHERE—Eater National's Ryan Sutton takes a look at the growing trend of high end restaurants charging customers cancellation fees ($500 per person in the case of Napa Valley's Meadowood) and that's not just for cancelling the day of, either. Some restaurants are requiring seven or eight days' notice, with E by Jose Andres charging 50 percent of the meal to those who cancel within fourteen days of the reservation (one-hundred percent if you cancel within twenty-four hours).
