August 17 is Charlie Trotter Day

New, 4 comments

Charlie-Trotterrochellespeakssm.jpgAugust 17 has been designated Charlie Trotter Day by Chicago and Illinois state officials, in honor of the chef who passed away last November. The date marks the anniversary of Trotter's eponymous restaurant and will be an opportunity for chefs across the country to highlight a dish on their menus inspired by Trotter's cookbooks. The proceeds will benefit The Trotter Project, the nonprofit created by some of the chefs who worked for Trotter as a way to honor the man and his legacy. [-EN-]
