Flooding and License Suspensions Temporarily Shutter The Brixton in Andersonville

New, 1 comment

Andersonville New American gastropub and bar The Brixton has been closed since Friday due to flooding and license suspensions. A city sign appeared on the door a few days ago stating a suspended license, which a rep says is a result of plumbing problems caused by "large amounts of rain this season."

"The licenses are all currently suspended due to plumbing issues which we are working on resolving," the restaurant's representative says. Chef Kevin McMullen says the staff fixed the plumbing this morning but the rep says that there's no definite re-opening date but it "should" happen sometime in the next week.

The Brixton has been well-received since opening in the former Premise, In Fine Spirits, and Brasserie 54 space last December. Stay tuned for updates on its status.
