Get your first look at what the team behind Wood has been working on for nearly a year in the space next to Blackbird. Salero, the Spanish-themed restaurant with Wood's executive chef Ashlee Aubin at the helm, opens for dinner service tomorrow night.
Looking much different than previous tenant Alimentari, Salero begins with stand-and-eat tables placed near the open windows and an understated bar. Beyond that is an intimate dining room, where a banquette is lit by a wall of candles on the left. Past the group of tables in the center lies the exposed brick wall to the right, a holdover from the previous concept.
