CHICAGOLAND—In the wake of chef Dean Zanella's family tragedy earlier this year, the restaurant community is coming together to help. Fellow chef Carrie Nahabedian is heading up the fundraiser Over A Year of Dining in Chicago, bidding for which has begun at $20,000. The package includes more than 120 gift certificates to dine at some of the biggest restaurants in Chicago, including a chef's tasting menu and wine pairings for two at Alinea, numerous tasting menus, an entire year of pies courtesy of Hoosier Mama, and much more.
