LOOP—Caffe Baci, the ubiquitous fast-casual Italian concept, will shutter one of its Loop locations in October. The location's lease was up for renewal and a new agreement could not be reached. The team hopes to relocate to a new spot in the Loop, River North, or Lakeview and there are five other Caffe Baci outposts in Chicago. [Crain's]
SOUTH LOOP—Crave Cafe and Lounge at 1250 S. Michigan has closed. The all-day spot replaced Karamela Cafe last September, underwent light renovations in June of this year, and apparently stopped serving for good last month. The space is up for sale for $74K—anybody want to open a restaurant? [Sloopin]
