RIVER NORTH—The upcoming Food & Wine Festival at Eataly has proven to be quite the hot ticket as the October event is nearly sold out. A four-course dinner hosted by Lidia Bastianich is already spoken for, but there is still room to attend select seminars pairing up local chefs like Tony Mantuano (Spiaggia) and Lee Wolen (Boka) with guest Italian chefs on October 16. A bargain at $30 is the Wine Around event on October 15, where guests can sample some 100+ wines. [Tribune/EaterWire]
SOUTH LOOP—Acadia is extending its bar hours to midnight for the remainder of the summer. So now there's more time to grab a Stonington lobster roll and a "Sloopin'," barman Arunas Bruzas' tribute to the restaurant's neighborhood in drink form. [EaterWire]
LOGAN SQUARE—Longman & Eagle and Pipeworks Brewing have collaborated on a new, Manhattan-inspired ale. "Brown & Stirred" is available bottled and on draft and is served in a Manhattan glass, over ice, with a twist of lemon. [EaterWire]
UPTOWN—In celebration of its tenth anniversary, Crew Bar and Grill is hosting a speakeasy party to showcase the new menu by recently hired chef Robyn Marfurt. The party also benefits TPAN and The People's Musical School organizations by way of a $20 suggested donation (includes food, drinks and raffle prizes). [EaterWire]
