Popular Lincoln Park seafood spot King Crab Tavern has its new home in River West. Filling the old Red Canary spot under the new name Cy's King Crab Oyster Bar & Grill, owner Cy Sadaka is targeting a Monday opening.

He's kept the booths and general set-up the same, while adding a rustic, seaside theme with wooden barrels and mounted fish on the walls. Dinner and lunch service will take place on the first floor and patio for now, with plans to eventually expand to the second floor. Additional TVs have been added as well as their signature lobster tank.

The menu will also remain the same as the original King Crab, including signature favorites like crab legs, oysters, and BBQ ribs, and ownership is hoping to talk with the neighborhood before making additions. The restaurant will be BYOB until they obtain a liquor license.

"We wanted to come to an up-and-coming neighborhood where there was lots in development," Sadaka said. "The neighbors were hungry to see a good place in the neighborhood where they could come and even bring their families."
