Owen + Alchemy Unveils Juice Menu; Opening by Month's End

With a planned opening for the end of this month, Owen + Alchemy, the contemporary juice bar on that exploding block in Logan Square from the folks at Element Collective and former magazine publisher Anne Owen, has unveiled its opening menu. Broken out into categories of juices (green, fruit, citrus, more), milks derived from nuts and seeds, shakes and smoothies (which feature a number of add-ons) and bowls, the menu (in full after the jump) is meant to be as balanced as any composed dish at a restaurant.

"We approach all the items on this menu the same way we approach any dish on our restaurant menus. It's about balance of flavor profiles and seasonality," Element Collective's Jared Van Camp states.

Owen + Alchemy, which is coming to the hot 2300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, is shooting for a high-end, luxury feel with their design. The space will house original artwork from local artists, workers will wear uniforms resembling throwback lab coats created by local fashion designer Elise Bergman, and the glass bottles used will feature custom screen printing with a minimalist approach.

A newly announced part of the juice bar is the addition of a Chinese herb program with consultations for customers run by Giselle Wasfie, who holds a Masters in traditional Chinese medicine.
