Starting tomorrow, Wicker Parkers will be able to go out for empanadas until the wee hours. The second 5411 Empanadas brick-and-mortar expansion of the popular food truck is finally set to open on Saturday after weathering inspection delays.

On North Avenue just west of Trenchermen, this location will be open late for local nightlife revelers—until 11 p.m. Sundays through Wednesdays and 2 a.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. It replaces the long-shuttered J. Wellington and will seat up to 26, using the rest of the space as kitchen prep for its food truck.

They're still waiting on a liquor license but will open as a BYOB, so you'll have to wait a little longer for Fernet on tap, five draft beers and Argentine wine. Look for three new empanada flavors soon, in addition to the regular menu you may know from the original Lakeview location, beginning with patatas bravas y chorizo.
