The Milt's Truck to Sling Kosher Barbecue Throughout Chicagoland

Coming soon to a curb near you: Kosher barbecue from the Milt's Barbecue for the Perplexed food truck. Stephen Kreisler, general manager of the East Lakeview philanthropic restaurant, says the plan is to launch the truck in the first week of August.

When it is on the streets, expect the Milt's truck to mostly serve a selection of sandwiches from the Kosher restaurant's menu, including brisket, pulled chicken, burgers and hot dogs. Also expect appetizers including a wings (smoked or Buffalo) and sides. Look for it around the city and north suburbs on Sundays through Thursdays, and possibly for Friday lunches.

In the works since February, Kreisler says the inspiration for the truck is to promote the restaurant's mission of community, conversation and philanthropy throughout the city. Also: it will serve barbecue.
