If you've already made plans to head out to Union Park this weekend for the ninth installment of the Pitchfork Music Festival, perhaps you're curious about what food options will be available to you. Wonder no more, as options ranging from ribs to vegan food to Latin cuisine to gelato will be available to the massive throngs of music fans for the nearly sold out weekend (tickets still remain for Friday).
The full list of food vendors includes Big Delicious Planet, Black Dog Gelato, Chicago Diner, Chubby Weiners, Dark Matter Coffee, Estrella Negra, Goose Island, O'Brien's, Puffs of Doom, Rice Table, Robinson's Ribs, Wishbone and Tempation.
To get an idea of what to eat in between sets of your favorite artists, below is a taste of what some of the vendors will have on hand.
O'Brien's will serve up sweet potato fries and Eisenberg hot dogs; Puffs of Doom will feature Butterfinger and Oreo puffs (the Oreo option is vegan) and bacon ranch mac & cheese; Robinson's Ribs will serve up pulled pork, boneless rib, smoked beef brisket and pulled chicken sandwiches and much more.
Other choices include Big Delicious Planet, which is also handling backstage catering for the festival, will have Thai beef tacos, and both vegan and vegetarian salad boxes; Chicago Diner is serving up an all vegan menu; and The Rice Table will have a spicy tofu sandwich as well as grilled chicken skewers and a watermelon mint salad.
Outside of the festival grounds Nellcôte, one mile east of Union Park, is offering a few specials throughout the weekend. The Randolph Street hot spot is offering a Baderbrau beer and a pizza for $10 and a Tito's vodka basic cocktail and a pizza for $15.
