RIVER NORTH—Despite a lack of a website or social media presence, Dough Bros Pizzeria and Sub Shop, the place from OrganicLife owners and chef Roland Liccioni, is quietly open in the former State Street Pizza space between Hubbard and Kinzie. The menu (below) features New York-style slices and pies cooked in a brick oven, many sandwiches, and will eventually serve gelato and doughnut sandwiches. It's open late for River North nightlife revelers: until 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. [EaterWire]
SOUTH LOOP—The first Chicago location (606 S Wabash St.) of Texas chain Bull Chicks is now serving up a fast-casual mix of burgers, sandwiches, salads, wraps, wings and more. [EaterWire]
LAKEVIEW—Boasting a menu of low-priced skewers along with entrees (curry chicken, lo mein options), Uni Grill (3500 N Broadway St.) is welcoming diners in now. [EaterWire]
WASHINGTON PARK—Combining soul and Mexican food with a café feel, Currency Exchange Café is now open in Washington Park (305 E Garfield Blvd.). Located next to the Arts Incubator and across from the Garfield Green Line station, the café is open every day except for Sunday for the time being. [EaterWire]
LOGAN SQUARE—La Strada Café Bar is now open and serving up coffee, juices and Italian deli sandwiches at 2023 N California Ave. [EaterWire]
