Tony Priolo's Piccoletto Will Not Open

Hopefully you weren't too wedded to the idea of a cozy piadini cafe from chef Tony Priolo. The Piccolo Sogno and Piccolo Sogno Due chef/partner just sent word that Piccoletto, his Italian flatbread and coffee concept next to Due in River North, is done.

When asked why, Priolo just said that "it doesn't make sense for us now." When asked if he might revisit it in the future, he said "no, not there. One day we will do it but not now or anytime soon."

Priolo had been reluctant to give a hard opening timeframe for Piccoletto, despite hanging a coming soon sign in the window of the former Crumbs bake shop. Expect that sign to come down.
