Alinea Team Signs New Lease, Planning Alinea Renovation

A new restaurant from Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas is officially coming to Chicago. Achatz tells Eater National in Aspen that they've signed a lease for a new restaurant, the opening "will probably happen in February or March (2015)," and that they "have a very clear but evolving vision" for the concept.

Nick Kokonas, reached via email, declined to disclose location or conceptual details "for a while," only confirming the lease and saying that "demolition will begin soon." Will it be in Lincoln Park, Fulton Market/West Loop, or somewhere different?

Meanwhile, Achatz also reveals that they will "renovate (Alinea) in a very significant way" to coincide with the restaurant's upcoming tenth anniversary.
